Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Guitar Theory Studio ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Guitar Theory Studio is an educational tool for exploring guitar fretboard theory, scales, chords, arpeggios, and practice routines. The Fretboard Explorer and Chord & Progression Builder tools, and up to 3 saved presets per tool, are available to all registered users at no cost. Arpeggios, Nashville Numbers, Practice Loop, and unlimited saved presets require an active "Guitar Theory Studio Premium" subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions & Billing

Guitar Theory Studio Premium is offered as a monthly subscription ($4.99/month) or an annual subscription ($29.99/year). New subscribers get a 7-day free trial; if you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged for the plan you selected.

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose) through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to their respective terms and payment systems.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (including the free trial), managed entirely through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we do not have access to or control over your payment method.
• Prices are subject to change; you'll be notified in advance by Apple or Google, and any change will only apply to future billing periods.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their own refund policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Attempt to circumvent subscription/payment requirements
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by law
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure

Your Content

Any presets, settings, or configurations you save within the App remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your saved practice data. You grant us only the limited right to store and return that data to you as part of providing the Service.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes all associated saved data. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Musical/theoretical content is provided for educational purposes and, while we take care to verify accuracy, should not be treated as the sole authority on music theory.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue features of the App, and may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when Terms change. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
